My educational/professional background:
I've been teaching at Clairbourn since 2018. Previously, I taught in California public schools, teaching 1st-4th grade. I also was a librarian and reading intervention teacher. In addition to my California Clear Multiple-Subject teaching credential, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Occidental College.
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
I love the beautiful campus and child-friendly philosophy of the school. The entire staff here (both teaching and non-teaching) are friendly and dedicated. The students and parents value education and are committed to the best outcomes. I am proud to work at such a great school.
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
I love the parent/grandparent visiting days the most. It is wonderful to see the children share their love for school with their families.
What brings me joy is:
I find joy in positive connections with other people: family, friends, or here at school. Sometimes you can have those positive connections with random strangers, and that can bring joy, too.
