Middle School Math Teacher
Clairbourn School, conveniently located in an idyllic setting in the San Gabriel Valley, is actively seeking a math teacher for sixth through eighth-grade math for the 2025-2026 school year. Appropriate candidates will feel comfortable teaching 6th grade math through geometry and are preferably comfortable with algebra 2 for support of independent work. A working knowledge of Savvas enVision math is beneficial, as is experience working with students with emerging math skills, as well as those who move at an advanced pace. The position also requires teaching middle school math team practice sessions and facilitating online and local competitions, with significant flexibility in the subject matter. Contract to begin August 1, 2025. Teachers report August 21, 2025.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
BA/BS degree
Teaching credential and/or Master’s degree preferred
Teaching experience of 3-5 years in independent schools preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High energy level, creativity, positive attitude, and flexibility
Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty to plan and implement curriculum
Ability to teach all content areas at the assigned grade level: 6th grade math, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry
Ability to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, independence, and ethics in students
Experience with integrating technology in the classroom, including interactive whiteboards and laptops
Ability to successfully develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and school families
Willingness to support the philosophy of the school

Salary is competitive and is commensurate with education, skills, and experience, with a generous benefit package including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits. Salary scale range is from 67,000-81,000.
